CREATIVE VARIANTS

Every campaign ships as several versions. You call the winner.

Most A/B tests send to a slice of your list, wait an hour, and crown whichever subject line a security scanner opened first. Yours rotates every designed variant across your whole audience, then reports what real people did — so the winner you pick actually won.

  • Several designed variants per campaign

  • Rotated evenly across your whole audience

  • Human opens reported separately, always

THE PROBLEM

Early numbers lie. Scanners open first.

A split test that looks scientific usually isn't.

See honest reporting

A typical A/B test sends one version to 10% of your list, waits an hour, and declares a winner on whichever got more opens. Security scanners, corporate filters and inbox previews open mail automatically, often within seconds of delivery — long before a person ever sees it.

So the version crowned "winner" is frequently the one a machine preferred, not your customers. And the other 90% of your list, the one waiting for the real send, never got tested at all. They got the blast, whichever version happened to win the coin flip.

That's the gap creative variants closes: every version goes to a fair, even share of your whole audience, and the result you read is built from people who actually opened the email, not software that scanned it.

HOW IT WORKS

From one brief to one clear winner

Four steps, on every send that ships with variants.

Design your variants

Build two, three or more versions of the same campaign — different subject lines, openings, offers or layouts — inside the one send.

Launch to everyone at once

Variants rotate evenly across your entire audience the moment you hit send. No held-back sample, no hour of waiting to see what a test group did.

Watch results come in live

Delivery and opens report in per variant, with human opens counted separately from automated ones, from the first message onward.

Choose the winner yourself

Nothing gets crowned automatically on early numbers. You read the real results, side by side, and decide which version goes forward.

IN DETAIL

What fair testing actually looks like

Three parts of the system, working on every campaign that ships with variants.

VARIANTS

Several designed versions, not one coin flip

A campaign can launch with several fully designed variants in one send: different subject lines, different openings, different offers, even different layouts. You're testing real alternatives, not two sentences that read almost the same.

Every variant is a complete, finished email — your colors, your logo, built in plain text and HTML, the same as any Yeti Outreach campaign. Nothing half-built goes out just to find out what wins.

  • Different subject lines, openings, offers or layouts

  • Every variant fully designed, never a draft

  • Built in plain text and HTML, like any send

ROTATION

Tested at full size, not a slice

Rotation runs across your whole list the instant you send, not a 10% sample held back for an hour. Every recipient gets one of your variants, in an even share, so the test finishes the moment the campaign does.

Full-size testing means full-size delivery too. There's no delay waiting on a sample to report in, and no second wave to send once a winner is picked — everyone on the list is already included.

  • Even rotation across the whole audience

  • No held-back sample, no waiting hour

  • The test is finished the moment the send is

RESULTS

You pick the winner, on numbers that count people

Results come back per variant, with human opens reported separately from the automated opens that scanners and filters generate. You're reading what people did, not what software did on their behalf.

Nothing is declared a winner for you. You see each variant's numbers side by side and choose which one earns the next send. Sending different versions also keeps your mail from reading as one identical blast to the inbox providers watching it.

  • Human opens reported separately from automated

  • You choose the winner, not an algorithm

  • Varied creative avoids looking like one blast

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU

Testing that actually tells you something

Five outcomes, on every campaign that ships with variants.

Every send is already a test

You don't schedule a separate test campaign and wait to see what happens. Every campaign that goes out is a test by default, across several designed variants.

That means every send teaches you something about your subject lines, your offers and your openings — without slowing the rollout down.

Fair to your whole audience

Every recipient gets a variant in even rotation. No one is left out of the test, and no one is stuck with the version that lost.

Results you can trust

Automated opens from scanners and filters are reported separately, so the numbers you act on came from people, not machines.

You make the call

Nothing is auto-crowned on early, noisy numbers. You read the per-variant results and choose which one goes forward.

Harder to read as one blast

Different subject lines and layouts mean inbox providers see varied mail, not one identical message landing in thousands of inboxes at once.

COMPARED

Same idea. Different odds.

A typical A/B test, versus every campaign you send with us.

A typical A/B test

  • Tests a 10% sample, then blasts the rest
  • Declares a winner within the hour
  • Counts every open as a person
  • Two similar subject lines, same layout
  • One identical email, every inbox

Yeti Outreach

  • Full audience. Every variant rotates across everyone, from the first send.
  • You decide. Nothing is crowned automatically on early numbers.
  • Human opens only. Automated opens are reported separately, every time.
  • Real variants. Different subject lines, openings, offers or layouts, fully designed.
  • Varied creative. Different versions reduce the one-blast signature inbox providers watch for.

QUESTIONS

What people ask about variant testing

Is this the same as A/B testing?

It's a fairer version of it. Every variant goes to an even share of your whole audience, not a small sample, and results count people, not scanners.

How many variants can one campaign have?

A campaign can launch with several designed variants — different subject lines, openings, offers or layouts, built right alongside each other. On Done-For-You, your campaigns carry at least 12 variants as standard, continuously optimized toward whichever is winning.

How do you separate human opens from automated ones?

Every open is classified as it happens. Opens that arrive the way scanning software opens — instantly, from a security filter or a corporate scanner — are counted as automated. The rest are reported as human, in a separate column, on every variant.

Does rotation slow my send down?

No. Variants rotate across your whole audience at send time, in one pass. There's no held-back sample and no second wave once a winner is chosen.

Who picks the winning variant?

You do. Yeti Outreach reports per-variant results — delivered, human opens, clicks — and you choose which one goes forward. Nothing is decided automatically on early, noisy numbers.

Does sending different versions hurt deliverability?

No, it helps it. Identical mail sent to a whole list reads as one blast to inbox providers. Varied subject lines and layouts across variants reduce that signature, alongside the rest of your deliverability system.

Can I test more than the subject line?

Yes. Variants can differ in subject line, opening line, offer or full layout. You're not limited to swapping one sentence.

Does this work with the Email Campaign Generator?

Yes. The generator produces multiple designed variants from the same brief, each one finished in plain text and HTML, ready to rotate across your audience.
